The unfortunate incident occurred after he was removed from life support at a Tampa, Florida, hospital following a devastating construction accident. Mike Williams, aged 36, met with this unfortunate accident while performing electrical work, leading to severe injuries and hospitalization, as revealed by Engelhard.

Mike Williams began his professional football journey when he was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was a proud alumnus of Syracuse University, hailing from Buffalo, New York. During his debut season, Mike Williams made a significant impact, finishing second in the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year voting. This recognition came after an outstanding performance, where he caught 65 passes, accumulating 964 yards, and scoring 11 touchdowns. After enjoying a successful four-season stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Mike Williams returned to his hometown when he was traded to the Buffalo Bills. He spent a memorable season with his beloved hometown team. In 2016, he took on a new chapter in his career by signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, his time with the Chiefs was relatively short-lived, as he was released just four months later.
Throughout his NFL career, Mike Williams accumulated an impressive track record. He recorded 223 receptions, amassed 3,089 yards, and scored 26 touchdowns in a total of 63 NFL games.
